This project stands as a clear example of how proactive maintenance and thoughtful renovation can completely transform a tired home into a modern sanctuary.
The original interior was heavily dated, and the exterior had begun to show visible signs of decay. Compounding the issue was the stigma often associated with plaster-clad homes, particularly older ones, which are frequently viewed with suspicion due to their reputation for leaky construction and strict scrutiny from building inspectors.
Our goal was twofold: refresh the home’s aesthetics and eliminate any risks of water ingress. The exterior cladding was professionally recoated and repainted in a modern, crisp finish that immediately elevated the home’s street appeal. A key vulnerability, the bay window in the stairwell, was completely removed and replaced to eliminate a potential point of failure. We also excavated and removed garden beds that were built up against the cladding, ensuring proper drainage and airflow around the perimeter of the house.
Inside, everything was original — untouched since the home was first built. We carried out a comprehensive renovation that stripped the interior back to its bones. Every space was reimagined: the bathroom, WC, ensuite, kitchen, bedrooms, laundry, and all floor coverings were updated with contemporary fixtures and finishes. Even the door leafs were replaced, adding to the cohesive, fresh feel of the transformation.
The result? A once-tired, risk-prone home has been reborn into a sleek, low-maintenance townhouse — modern in both appearance and performance, ready to stand the test of time.
